No, a GP referral is not required. We will, however, request your GP records if relevant, and recommend coordinating with your GP for any onward clinical actions.

Some elements of our diagnostic testing may be reimbursable by private medical insurance providers, particularly where there is a clinical indication. Coverage varies by insurer and policy. We are happy to provide receipts and clinical reports to support claims.

Standard private health checks (Bupa, Nuffield and similar) typically deliver a structured 30 to 60 minute appointment with a fixed panel of tests and a brief written report. Body Brilliant's plans are physician-led across multiple consultations, with extended panels, functional interpretation and a personalised plan rather than a written report. We are also designed for ongoing relationship rather than annual check-up.
